Arsenal star and Ian Wright send Instagram messages to Jadon Sancho

Jadon Sancho broke a record on Saturday as Borussia Dortmund beat Union Berlin 5-0 to keep the pressure on Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich – and both Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson and Ian Wright reacted to his Instagram post.

The superlatives are already drying up when trying to describe Sancho as he scored his 15th goal of the season, and laid on his 16th assist during Dortmund’s heavy win – which pushes them to within three points of Bayern, and two behind Leipzig.

The 11-time England international has now scored nine goals in his last nine Bundesliga matches – and created seven more goals in that time. But on Saturday, he set new ground as he became the first teenager to score 25 Bundesliga goals.

Sancho was not the only teenage record-breaker in the match though, as Erling Haaland took his tally in Dortmund colours to seven goals – needing just three games to do so. He is the first to reach seven in his first three, and Sancho posted on Instagram.

Dortmund, too, are on fire as a collective. The win over Union Berlin saw Lucien Favre’s side clocked up a sixth win in eight league games, scoring a whopping 30 goals in the process – 15 of which have come in the last three games.

Sancho continues to be repeatedly linked with a move to the Premier League. Chelsea were linked in January while Liverpool and Manchester United are long-term admirers. report he is worth a whopping £127million.

He has a contract at Dortmund until the end of the 2021-22 season, with the summer likely to be a big talking point surrounding his future. Arsenal star Nelson commented “The Best”, while Gunners legend Wright said “don’t stop”.
