Some sources within Arsenal think one player has actually become a lot more aggressive recently.
There is a newfound gritty side to Arsenal nowadays under Mikel Arteta, with the Gunners transforming from a team many considered to be soft, into one of Europe’s toughest units.
Arsenal boast the Premier League’s best defence with just 24 goals conceded in 30 games this season, and have even limited domestic opponents to just four goals in 2024.
That doesn’t happen without a bit of fight, and one Arsenal player has become noticeably more aggressive at the Emirates Stadium…
Arsenal sources claim one player has become much more aggressive
Well, it is Ben White who sources close to Arsenal feel has become more of a menace nowadays.
These sources the Daily Mail: “There’s a menacing streak to his game now that wasn’t necessarily apparent before. If anyone nails him in a game, he will consciously try to get them back.”
White has been through a lot recently – which might explain why he is a little more “menacing” right now.
The man has been the subject of a nationwide man hunt after he declined Gareth Southgate’s call up to the England squad.
Paul Merson was left very unhappy with White after hearing about the Arsenal No.4’s decision.
The defender also received criticism from Danny Mills – while Shay Given described it as a “massive” decision from the England international.
This might have caused White to adopt even more of a ‘me against them’ mentality in games for Arsenal, as fans across the Premier League boo him following his Three Lions snub.

Even the most successful sides in history have delved into the dark arts – you may recall the height of Arsene Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson’s rivalry in 2003, where the likes of Martin Keown and Ruud van Nistelrooy clashed and created a Battle of Old Trafford tagline.
You need to be nasty out on the pitch, whether it is a title race or a relegation battle.
As far as we’re concerned, the more aggressive White is for Arsenal amid the business end of the 2023/24 campaign, the better.
