Arsenal should turn to Ligue 1 star in case of Thomas Partey failure
♏By all accounts, Arsenal really want to add Thomas Partey to their ranks this summer.
🐬It is no secret the Gunners are big admirers of Atletico Madrid’s powerhouse and technician all rolled into one.
𝓀Fans on social media have been clamouring for his signing for weeks if not months, but a move is far from straightforward.
🌌Atleti want the full value of the player’s release clause, understood to be around £45 million (), to part with the Ghana international or else no deal.
෴Arsenal will be required to sell players to raise the required funds to get their man, but there is no telling how much ‘deadwood’ the club will be able to clear.
🎃The north Londoners will hope to get Partey, but they undoubtedly need to be looking at alternatives in case of failure – and one player over in Ligue 1 might just be ideal.

💝 Arsenal were interested in signing Boubakary Soumare.
🎀Arsenal have just prised Gabriel Magalhaes away from Lille, but apparently have also looked at his teammate.
𒉰Soumare is big presence in the midfield and last season operated mostly as a holding midfield player, but he does have the capacity to steam forward.
⛦Like Partey, Soumare relishes the dirty work in the engine room, making vital tackles and interceptions for his team.
𒁃Soumare turned down a £35 million move to Newcastle United in January ().
♌One would imagine in the current climate the player would be cheaper than that now, and he would definitely be worth looking at by Arsenal can’t quite get the funds for Partey.
