Arsenal should not use Reiss Nelson or Ainsley Maitland-Niles as a makeweight in Aaron Wan-Bissaka deal
, Arsenal are desperate to sign Crystal Palace star Aaron Wan-Bissaka and could even offer a couple of exciting youngsters in a part-exchange deal.
Reiss Nelson and Ainsley Maitland-Niles are two potential options as Arsenal prepare to open talks with Crystal Palace over Wan-Bissaka.
The 21-year-old has been a standout performer for the Eagles this season, displaying both his defensive and attacking credentials.
And while the England under-21 starlet would be an excellent long-term signing for the Gunners, they need to reconsider their plans to offer Nelson or Maitland-Niles.
Both Nelson and Maitland-Niles should also feature in Arsenal’s plans for the future as they are exciting talents.
Nelson is currently out on loan at Hoffenheim, where he has impressed. The 19-year-old has scored six goals in 18 Bundesliga matches – although only five of those have been starts.

The England youth international has all the attributes to thrive in the Premier League in the future, operating anywhere in the attacking midfield line or as a striker.
Maitland-Niles is currently at Arsenal, where he has been getting some game time under Unai Emery.
The 21-year-old has played 17 games this season, scoring twice and grabbing an assist. He has filled in at right-back, left-back, on both wings and even in central midfield.
Maitland-Niles’ versatility makes him a useful squad option, while Nelson is one of the best young players in the country.
Neither player should be traded for Wan-Bissaka but the three of them could lead Arsenal’s next generation.
