Arsenal should consider hijacking Wolves’ reported Tarkowski bid
According to , Wolves have approached Burnley over the availability of centre-back James Tarkowski.
Interest in the 26-year-old defender is to be expected following his impressive recent form. Under Sean Dyche, the Manchester-born ace has developed into a consistent, gritty defender who is always willing to put his body on the line for the cause.
Tarkowski’s showings for the Clarets have even earned him international recognition. He now has two senior England caps to his name. He is now ready to leave Turf Moor behind and make a step up. Wolves would do well to land his signature. However, they should not be the only club weighing up a move for the Burnley man.

Arsenal would be wise to make a bid for his services. The Gunners were a mess at the back last season, and Tarkowski would provide an injection of the quality and consistency that Unai Emery’s rearguard desperately needs.
With Laurent Koscielny ageing and Shkodran Mustafi having fallen short of the quality required at the Emirates Stadium, Emery must find a new man to build his back line around. Tarkowski could be that figure, and he would be a welcome arrival in north London this summer.
