Arsenal should accelerate move for ‘world class’ free agent they’ve been in talks with after Martin Odegaard injury
Arsenal are preparing to face Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby this weekend.
The international break is drawing to a close and Mikel Arteta will be eagerly awaiting the return of his players.
Martin Odegaard picked up an ankle injury for Norway last night and there’s a genuine concern that he could miss Sunday’s clash.
So with that said, Arsenal should accelerate a deal to sign a top-level free agent so he’s ready to make his debut against Ange Postecoglou’s men.

Arsenal should accelerate move to sign Adrien Rabiot
Arsenal have been in talks to sign free agent Adrien Rabiot, who remains available after his Juventus contract expired in July.
With Odegaard set for a spell on the sidelines, it leaves Ethan Nwaneri as the only natural replacement – which would put a lot of pressure on the 17-year-old.
So, Edu Gaspar should look to wrap up a deal this week to sign Rabiot so that he can be available for selection on Sunday.
The Frenchman typically operates as a box-to-box midfielder and can contribute in the attacking third – so he’d be able to replace certain traits lost through Odegaard’s injury.
TBR Football understands Rabiot has held talks with every major club in the Premier League, so competition is rife.
Adrien Rabiot statistics
Rabiot registered eight goal involvements last season which followed 17 the year prior, amplifying his threat in the final third.
The 49-cap international started all five of France’s Euro 2024 games and is widely considered a ‘world class’ (per ) midfielder.
