Arsenal round-up: Gunners reportedly make enquiry, Aouar comments on future
Arsenal could be set for a busy deadline day as Mikel Arteta continues his hunt for midfield additions before the 11pm deadline – but a move for Houssem Aouar looks as good as over. Here is a morning round-up of Arsenal’s latest transfer news:
Arsenal make Bundesliga enquiry
that Arsenal have made an enquiry to sign Hertha Berlin 18-year-old Omar Rekik. Yet to make a senior outing for Hertha, he has appeared on the bench for the Bundesliga side.
The younger brother of former Manchester City man Karim, Omar is an exciting talent and has broken into his side’s second string this season – despite being just 18. The Gunners want him for their own Under-23 side. Talks ongoing.

Aouar remains loyal
The Lyon midfielder has been quoted by as saying: “I felt that I could still bring things to this team & the club, the club that raised me,” seemingly ending any chances of a move to north London before Monday’s 11pm deadline.
The Gunners had a bid of £32million rejected last month, but were willing to increase that offer to £36million plus £9million in add-ons. But as per Football London, Lyon wanted £45million plus the same add-ons. Aouar will remain at Lyon.
Partey hope
The Press Association – – claim that a move for Atletico Madrid star Thomas Partey could still go ahead, with Lucas Torreira expected to move to Atletico in a loan move. Mikel Arteta has stated that work is being done.
Partey has been strongly linked with Arsenal throughout the window and a move to sign tha Ghanaian would be excellent business for the Gunners, adding to what is already an extremely string Arsenal side.
