Arsenal round-up: Allegri hits at managerial role; Ramsey discusses title race; Bergkamp targeted for academy role
Arsenal continue their search for possible managerial targets to replace Arsene Wenger and the leading candidate is Juventus manager Max Allegri. that the Italian coach has told friends that he is going to take over at the Emirates Stadium in the summer. However, before that, he plans to win everything that he can with Juventus. He is believed to be unhappy with the Italian giants as the club hasn’t supported him enough after he was involved in an argument with centre-back L💯eonardo Bonucci.
This would be a popular appointment as the Italian has experience winning league titles and competing in the Champions League. He has overseen the development of Juventus into one of the best sides in Europe and it would be a coup if Arsenal manage to tempt him away from the Italian 🥃champions. The allure of the Premier League will be great as it is a competition that Allegri has ambitions to manage in and the Gunners are the only top six club that is likely to make a 🦂managerial change this summer. Italian coaches have had a lot of success in England and the 49-year-old is seen as one of the country’s finest. If Wenger does leave his post as many expect, Allegri would be the perfect replacement.
. The Gunners are currently 13 points behind the league leaders𒁏, but the squad refuse to give up hope and that is encouraging for supporters. The Welshman states that there are a lot of matches to go and there is time for things to change.
“There’s still a lot of to be played, stranger things have happened in the game before.
“Chelsea have quite a gap at the moment, but it only takes a couple of games and everybody’s right back in there again. have to get back to winning ways and compete again and go on a run.”
It is good to see that the squad haven’t given up hope, but they need to focus on themselves before thinking about the league title. That said, he is right in his assessment about the Gunners needing to go on a run. They will need to be nearly perfect if they are to have any chance of finishing top of the table and that doesn’t look likely at the moment. The next few weeks are crucial as teams try to get into a good position ahead of the run in and Arsenal need to rebuild confidence after the🔯ir defeat to Bayern Munich.
Finally, that Dennis Bergkamp is one of the contenders to become the club’s new academy director. The club need to find a replacement for Andries Jonker, who has taken the post as Wolfsburg manager. Former Liverpool and Olympiacos coach Pep Segura is another option from outside of the club, while Steve Morrow is the🌱 main candidate from within. However, it is the Arsenal legend that will excite fans the most.
This isn’t a major talking poi🦋nt for supporters as they are focused on the first team, but it would be great to see Bergkamp back at the club. He has done some great work with Ajax in one of the best academies in the world. Arsenal could do a lot worse than appointment their fo✃rmer player as he will have learned a lot about youth development in his native Holland. The Eredivisie club continue to produce excellent young players and Bergkamp has played his part in that.
