Arsenal Roma talks over Ainsley Maitland-Niles hit £4.2m snag – report
Arsenal midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles looks set to leave the Emirates Stadium in the January transfer window.
It looked as though the Gunners ace was Roma-bound.
Earlier this week, it was reported that the Maitland-Niles said yes to joining the Serie A side on an initial loan deal.

The terms would potentially leave the door open to a permanent move to the Italian capital in the summer.
And it seemed that Maitland-Niles was ready to complete the switch to Jose Mourinho’s side.
However, has now reported that talks have hit a stumbling block.
Arsenal will apparently only part company with Maitland-Niles on a loan deal with obligation to buy.
In addition, the Gunners reportedly won’t settle for less than 15m euro (£12.6m).
Meanwhile, Roma are apparently only willing to pay 10m euro (£8.4m) – a difference of £4.2m.
Wwhile the Giallorossi remain optimistic, this snag has curbed Tiago Pinto’s enthusiasm, added the report.
In addition, Arsenal could risk missing out on doing a deal with Roma.
The Italians have apparently got a Plan B in Eintracht Frankfurt’s Almamy Toure.
That said, several Premier League clubs are reportedly eyeing Maitland-Niles too.
So if the Roma deal falls through, Arsenal appear to have other options.
