Arsenal reportedly want to sign ‘very complete’ £30m ‘machine’ who’s been likened to Sergio Aguero

Arsenal are one of several clubs reportedly in pursuit of Ghana star Mohammed Kudus.

According to , the Gunners have asked about the Ajax attacker’s current situation.

As well as Arsenal, the likes of Tottenham, Newcastle, Liverpool and Everton are also reportedly eyeing Kudus.

Even Barcelona are in pursuit. Director Jordi Cruyff recently he’s been following the 22-year-old.

There is bound to be intense competition for Kudus’ services in the January transfer window.

The prodigy has enjoyed a sensational World Cup so far, scoring twice for the Black Stars.

Prior to the tournament, the versatile forward registered 10 goals and two assists for his club side this term.

On Friday, Kudus can help Ghana reach the last 16 of the World Cup when they take on Uruguay in Al-Wakrah.

‘He may be a revelation’

Black Stars teammate Inaki Williams, speaking to , has now backed Kudus to make the ‘step up to a big club’.

The Athletic Bilbao ace believes that his compatriot is outgrowing Ajax and, though he’s “very complete”, he can get even better.

“When I played with him during the last international period before the World Cup, Kudus surprised me a lot,” said Williams.

“My teammates at Athletic Bilbao often ask me who impresses me in the national team. I always mention his name.

“Ajax is becoming too small (for him). Hopefully, he will soon make the step up to a big club.

“I would have liked him to have a Basque relative who could take him to Bilbao!

“He is a bomb. A machine. He is already very complete, although there is still room for development due to his age.

“Yes (he can play for Barcelona or Real Madrid). I see him playing in a great club.

“He has plenty of potential and a great margin for improvement. I think he may be a revelation.”

‘He has a lot of quality’

Kudus would be a great shout for Arsenal, as he can fill in at midfield and in attack.

Erik ten Hag has previously described Kudus as an ““.

And Ajax’s Daley Blind has compared his club teammate to Barcelona and Netherlands ace Frenkie de Jong.

“He can play a man and make a gear,” Blind told Ajax TV in 2020, via .

“He is quite a bit like Frenkie in that respect.

“You can just see that he has a lot of quality. I think he will certainly help us on our way. He is a good player.”
