Arsenal reportedly want to sign £30m attacker who’s ‘the total package’, likened to Sadio Mane

Arsenal are likely to be delving into the January transfer market in order to maintain their title-chasing momentum.

The Gunners tried to sign a winger and a midfielder late on in the summer window, only to come up short.

With the World Cup in full swing, Arsenal have been able to take stock and plan ahead.

In addition, the tournament is acting as a shop window for a number of players who are making a huge name for themselves.

One of those is Mohammed Kudus, who has been impressive for Ghana over the past few weeks.

His two goals against South Korea have put the Black Stars in a strong position to qualify for the knockout stages.

Prior to the tournament, the versatile forward registered 10 goals and two assists for his club side this term.

On Friday, Kudus can help Ghana reach the last 16 of the World Cup when they take on Uruguay in Al-Wakrah.

‘He is the main man now’

“They just want him to score. When he scores, everyone is all over the place.

“The coach had to find someone to build the team around who he could trust. It is Kudus.

“What I like is his confidence. He goes on the field and he shows the world Kudus. He gives respect after the game but during the game, he goes all out.

“I love his bravery on the ball. He is powerful. He’s the total package and I am so glad that the coach recognises that.

“He is only 22 and has two or three World Cups after this. But he is the main man now.”

‘He has a lot of quality’

Kudus would be a great shout for Arsenal, as he can fill in at midfield and in attack.

Erik ten Hag has previously described Kudus as an ““.

And Ajax’s Daley Blind has compared his club teammate to Barcelona and Netherlands ace Frenkie de Jong.

“He can play a man and make a gear,” Blind told Ajax TV in 2020, via .

“He is quite a bit like Frenkie in that respect.

“You can just see that he has a lot of quality. I think he will certainly help us on our way. He is a good player.”
