Arsenal reportedly want defender who Wayne Rooney has raved about

Arsenal are reportedly keen on signing Derby County starlet Lee Buchanan during the summer transfer window – and Wayne Rooney’s comments will provide supporters with optimism.

✨The Gunners will chase new recruits during the summer. With their hopes of European football in the balance, however, they could be forced to shop in a different market.

🍰It has been claimed by the that Arsenal are keen on the left-back who has been making serious waves with the Rams this season.

⛎Buchanan has won England under-21 honours during 2020/21 and is seemingly set for a really bright future in the game.

ꦅRooney knows a thing or two about winning big honours and playing with top players from his team as a Manchester United and England star.

♋His management skills are still open for discussion, however, with Derby still in contention to be relegated this season.

♎That could open the door for Arsenal to land Buchanan at a really affordable rate and some comments from England’s all-time leading goalscorer should excite supporters.

🐎Derby boss Rooney, : “He’s a top, top player. I’d argue he’s one of the best young left-backs in the country.

🐲“And he can go to another level as well…no…he’s a really top player.”

♔It’s fair to say that any left-back signed by Arsenal will be playing understudy to the Scotland international. His form since checking in from Celtic has been fantastic and he’s among the best in the division.

✱When he’s been absent this season though, the Gunners have struggled. Cedric has been called upon, whilst more recently Granit Xhaka has filled in on the left-hand side of the back four.

🍸That isn’t really the mentality of a big club and Arsenal must ensure they have better strength in depth next season.

⛦At 20, the future looks really bright for the youngster and with 43 first-team outings to his name, he could be a shrewd piece of business for the Gunners.
