Arsenal reportedly looking at defender Moreno following release by Liverpool
Arsenal are among the clubs chasing Spanish international defender Alberto Moreno, who is a free agent this summer,
They that Moreno, who signed for Liverpool in a reported £12 million deal () back in 2014, will leave Anfield on a free transfer this summer.
Moreno slipped way behind Andy Robertson in the Reds pecking order this summer, but Jurgen Klopp was full of praise for the Spaniard in his send-off.
He : “Alberto is world-class, and I know he will be back in the Spain national team in the not-too distant future. He is a person whose personality is reflected in how he plays. Full of life, full of energy, always positive. An unbelievable character who is always willing to give all of himself for the team.”

Moreno became something of a liability for Liverpool and ‘world-class’ would appear to be something of a stretch from Klopp.
But given Arsenal’s budget and the need to improve their defence, they might be tempted to make a swoop on a free transfer.
Unai Emery knows Moreno well, having worked with him at Seville, and Nacho Monreal is not getting any younger – at the very least, a new backup left back is needed.
