Arsenal reportedly begin work on deal to sign Ruben Neves from Wolves
Arsenal have reportedly begun work on putting together a deal to sign Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves.
, the Portuguese midfielder is available this summer with the Molineux club eager to raise funds to rebuild the squad. Long-term manager Nuno Espirito Santo left Wolves at the end of last season.
Wolves have set their price

As , Wolves would allow Neves to leave for £35m this summer. Arsenal are expected to sell several central midfielders this summer, including the likes of Lucas Torreira, Granit Xhaka and Matteo Guendouzi.
Neves has been one of Wolves’ best performing players since their return to the Premier League in 2018.

The Portuguese international was part of the squad that had an impressive run in last year’s UEFA Europa League.
A man in demand
A long-term target for Liverpool as , Neves could be one of the league’s most in-demand players after impressing with Wolves.

The 24-year-old midfielder hit five goals in the Premier League last season and has made over 175 appearances for Wolves.
Ruben Neves would be perfect for Arsenal
With the Gunners due for a rebuild this summer, particularly in midfield, Neves could be a welcome addition to the squad given his vast amount of experience at such a young age as his CV of brilliant performances in the English top-flight.

Whilst Yves Bissouma has been the player that most of the media and fans seemingly think will sign for Arsenal this summer to join their midfield ranks, Neves could arguably be a more sensible signing for the Gunners.
The Portuguese international is the same age as Bissouma. Yet, the Wolves star has more experience in playing in the Premier League as well as in Europe.

There’s no doubt that Bissouma would be a good signing for the Gunners as well. But, with Neves available and Arsenal seemingly keen on making an approach to Wolves for his services, the former Porto star is just too good an option to pass up on this summer.
