Arsenal reach compromise and change their mind after discussions to sell ‘outstanding’ player

Having ‘given up’ on their demands, Arsenal are now said to have reached a compromise to secure an exit for one midfielder this summer.

Edu and his team will have likely been tasked to find new clubs for several members of Arsenal’s first team in the coming months.

TBR recently shared that Arsenal had told Oleksandr Zinchenko and Kieran Tierney that they were free to leave this summer.

Arsenal could also finally part ways with Thomas Partey, who with one-year left on his contract has been linked with a departure.

Aaron Ramsdale is also reportedly set for an exit, not content with playing a backup role.

And then the same may also be true for all of Eddie Nketiah, Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson.

Arsenal surely can’t afford to lose all three, especially given their homegrown status, but there’s clearly a possibility of significant changes.

That being said, Arsenal have decided that Albert Sambi Lokonga can leave the club.

Lokonga has been in talks with Sevilla to join on loan in the past few days.

And according to , it seems if Arsenal have found a compromise to their demands.

Arsenal now willing to loan Albert Sambi Lokonga to Sevilla without an obligation to buy

Initially it was reported that Arsenal would only sanction a loan for Lokonga if it included an obligation to buy clause.

After an ‘outstanding’ season on loan at Luton Town, it seems like a sensible time for Arsenal to cash in on the midfielder.

However, according to the report mentioned, Arsenal have decided to forego their initial plans, now happy to accept a loan without an obligation.

Given Sevilla wouldn’t accept the clause, Arsenal have reportedly now decided that it’s best for Lokonga to try and increase his value in La Liga.

However, in that regard Arsenal may be making a mistake.

Yes, Lokonga looks well-equipped to succeed in Spain but after the season finishes he will only had one-year left on his deal.

Arsenal’s position and ability to achieve good value for Lokonga – who they are clearly willing to sell, would then be further compromised.

Perhaps it’s a ‘catch 22’ situation, but Arsenal do need to seek better solutions for players like Lokonga.

The club’s potential struggle to sell Ramsdale this summer also seems significant in that regard, a player who should have a ton of suitors.

All that being said, Arsenal are now said to have launched a £40m bid for a defender hailed as ‘one of the best in the world’.
