Arsenal predicted XI vs Everton: Mari, Partey and Nketiah start
Mikel Arteta will be looking for a much-improved performance when Arsenal host Everton at the Emirates on Friday night.
The Gunners were grateful to Eddie Nketiah for scoring a stoppage-time equaliser after their lacklustre display against Fulham.

And Nketiah may well be rewarded for finding the back of the net. ahead of the clash with the Toffees that both Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette will miss the fixture.
Lacazette came off injured against Fulham. And it seems that he is now facing a fight to be fit for Thursday’s Europa League tie with Villarreal.
It would be a huge opportunity for Nketiah with plenty of fans likely to want Folarin Balogun to get a chance.

Elsewhere, Pablo Mari may return to the defence. Gabriel Magalhaes gave away the penalty at the weekend. Admittedly, Mario Lemina made the most of any contact, but it was still rash from Gabriel.
Thomas Partey – who is on £250,000-a-week, – could start alongside Dani Ceballos. Ceballos’s partnership with Mohamed Elneny was underwhelming on Sunday, and they seemed to improve once Partey was brought on.
Meanwhile, Mat Ryan and Granit Xhaka may keep their places in goal and at left-back respectively.
With that in mind, here is how Arsenal may line up against Carlo Ancelotti’s side…
