Arsenal predicted XI for FA Cup final: Two changes, 25-year-old back in against some fans’ wishes
It’s been a difficult season for Arsenal but Mikel Arteta’s charges now have the opportunity to end their 2019-20 on a high note as they prepare to contest the FA Cup final on Saturday.
The Gunners will be desperate to finish a lacklustre and transitionary season with a major trophy, but it’s also Chelsea’s best chance of silverware this term, unless the Blues can successfully overturn their 3-0 first-leg deficit away at Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
While Arteta opted for an initial 4-2-3-1 in the Premier League season finale against Watford, he’s likely to revert back to 3-4-3, which has served him very well for most of the post-restart campaign.

Emiliano Martinez has been sensational in goal since stepping in for Bernd Leno and Arteta has already that the Argentine will start at Wembley, so this one is straightforward.
The three-man defence does have one notable omission in Shkodran Mustafi, who is out injured, but Rob Holding has deputised well for the German and should do so again.
David Luiz will most likely take the central spot, while Kieran Tierney has done well on the left of the three, and is probably going to get the nod ahead of Sead Kolasinac.
On the flanks, Bukayo Saka is all-but assured of a place on the left if Tierney is in the three-man defence, and while some Arsenal fans have been calling for Ainsley Maitland-Niles on the right, Arteta is likely to opt for 25-year-old Hector Bellerin.
Central midfield picks itself now – Dani Ceballos and Granit Xhaka have made the position their own, and Lucas Torreira is unlikely to start unless there’s an injury to either of those two.
As for the front three, while Eddie Nketiah and Reiss Nelson have sought to stake claims, it’s safe to say Arteta will most likely opt for his first-choice three – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on the left, Alexandre Lacazette in the middle and Nicolas Pepe on the right.
In terms of changes, Maitland-Niles and Joe Willock would be making way after starting against Watford, and Saka and Bellerin would be coming in.
