Arsenal predicted lineup vs Benfica: Lacazette, Pepe and Mari start
Arsenal return to European action this week when Mikel Arteta’s side face Benfica in Athens in the first-leg of their last 32 tie in the Europa League.
The Gunners got back to winning ways at the weekend. They were sensational for 60 minutes at Leeds, going 4-0 up inside 48 minutes at the Emirates.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the star of the show, scoring a hat-trick. And it would perhaps be no surprise if the 31-year-old retains his place in the side.
It is difficult to know how strong a side Arteta will opt to select. It will surely contain fewer youngsters than the teams that navigated the group-stages.

But there may still be a number of changes. Rob Holding and Pablo Mari may come in at the heart of the defence. Meanwhile, Mohamed Elneny could start alongside Granit Xhaka in midfield.
Alexandre Lacazette and Nicolas Pepe – who earns £100,000-a-week, – were unused substitutes at the weekend. So it surely makes sense to bring both men back in against the Portuguese side.
A number of players may feel hard done by should they miss out. The likes of Gabriel Martinelli, Emile Smith Rowe and Mat Ryan may have set their sights on an opportunity.
Arteta will also be wary of picking too many key men given that Manchester City await on Sunday. But the Europa League represents a great chance to secure silverware this term.
So perhaps Arteta may well name a very strong side for the first-leg.
With that in mind, here is how Arsenal may look on Thursday…
