Arsenal offered chance to sign ‘one of the best players in Europe’ before deadline day
The final days of the transfer window are upon us, and Arsenal are keeping their eyes open for at least one more signing.
The Gunners announced the arrival of Mikel Merino on Tuesday. The Spaniard is their third signing of the summer after David Raya and Riccardo Calafiori.
That makes Arsenal much stronger than they were in the 2023/24 season, but there is still one signing Mikel Arteta would love before the window shuts on Friday – a new attacker.
have now shared an update on that front.
Arsenal offered chance to sign Kingsley Coman from Bayern Munich
Arsenal are a bit short of options in their attack and that could get worse.
Eddie Nketiah is on his way to Crystal Palace, which means Arsenal now have just six options across their front three – Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka and Reiss Nelson.
Among those, Jesus has struggled with injuries, while Nelson hasn’t quite been given enough opportunities by Arteta in the first team.
To add to that, there is no like-for-like back-up for Bukayo Saka on the right flank either, which is something Arsenal fans have been crying out for for a long time.
A new winger is Arsenal’s target in the final days of the window, and Dean Jones has revealed on GiveMeSport that Kingsley Coman of Bayern Munich has been offered to Arsenal.
The Frenchman is available for sale as he is surplus to requirements in Vincent Kompany’s side. He is expected to leave Bayern before the window shuts on Friday.
Coman would be an amazing signing for Arsenal, but whether the Gunners will use the opportunity to sign him remains to be seen.

Julian Nagelsmann’s comments on Kingsley Coman should convince Arsenal
Coman is one of the most accomplished players in the world.
The winger has won league titles in all but one season of his professional career. He has lifted the biggest trophy in France, Italy and Germany a combined 12 times.
Coman is very highly rated by people in the game. Current Germany boss Julian Nagelsmann, who worked with him at Bayern, once branded him as ‘one of the best players in Europe’.
He told in 2022: “King is one of the most important players for us. He has the ability to solve every one-on-one situation on the pitch
“King is one of the best players in Europe when it comes to winger. He is also a brilliant character and an important part of the dressing room.”
