Arsenal scouting £26m forward with ‘everything’ to become ‘best in the world’
Arsenal have been linked with Donyell Malen in recent months and speculation is intensifying ahead of the summer transfer window.
For instance, recently claimed that Gunners will be sending scouts to watch Malen play for Borussia Dortmund soon.
The reported Arsenal target is set to test himself against the likes of Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen in the coming weeks.
The report claims that, while Malen is not the first name on the Gunners’ wish list, he is viewed as a cost-effective option as he will be available for just £26million.
Arsenal target Donyell Malen is ‘so good’
Arsenal actually used to have the 25-year-old on their books when he was a youngster, but sold him to PSV Eindhoven for just £500,000 in 2017 ().
Since then, Malen’s career has gone from strength to strength. So much so, in fact, that even Gunners legend Thierry Henry has sung his praises.
More recently, former Tottenham Hotspur ace Rafael van der Vaart claimed that the reported Arsenal target has what it takes to become a superstar.

“I think he’s so good,” Van der Vaart told of Malen. “I’ve said it before. It seems like he doesn’t believe (in his own potential).
“The question I actually want to ask him is; Do you want to become the best player in the world? Because he really has everything to do that. I am 100 percent convinced.”
Malen has registered 11 goals and two assists from 22 Bundesliga outings this season, while his overall 2023-24 club tally reads 32 appearances, 13 goals and four assists.
At 25 years of age, the 28-cap Netherlands international is entering his prime years. He’d be a good shout for an Arsenal outfit fighting for the Premier League title and the Champions League.
The Gunners will always be looking to build on all the amazing progress they’ve made so far, and what better statement of intent than a former Hale End gem who’s gone on to dizzying heights?
