Arsenal now interested in signing Premier League player Jamie Carragher called ‘very underrated’
Arsenal are focused on bringing in attacking midfield reinforcements this summer.
Indeed, Eberechi Eze is an Arsenal target, while the Gunners have also looked at Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa.
Martin Odegaard may be the Arsenal captain, but Mikel Arteta is looking for further additions in that attacking midfield position.
Arsenal are always striving to improve wherever possible and after Odegaard was criticised heavily last season, they may be looking to upgrade in that area.
Now, another interesting link has emerged as according to , Arsenal are looking at another key attacking midfielder from within the Premier League.

Arsenal interested in Morgan Gibbs-White
According to The Athletic, Morgan Gibbs-White is among the players Arsenal hold an interest in.
Gibbs-White had been linked to Tottenham this summer, but Arsenal are seemingly looking at the Nottingham Forest star too.
The England international is coming off the back of a fantastic season, and according to Jamie Carragher, Gibbs-White is very underrated.
“I’m going to go with, Morgan Gibbs-White. I think he’s been fantastic. I think Forest have been brilliant, but, for me, I think he’s a very underrated player,” Carragher said when naming his Team of the Season.
This could be an exciting signing if the Gunners go down this avenue, but the links to Eberechi Eze are stronger at this point it must be said.
Morgan Gibbs-White compared to Eberechi Eze
Eze and Gibbs-White are both Arsenal targets, and it’s interesting to look at the underlying numbers surrounding both of these players.
In terms of output, there really isn’t much to separate these two, but, their stats show some key differences in their games.
Eberechi Eze | Morgan Gibbs-White | |
34 | Games | 34 |
8 | Goals | 7 |
8 | Assists | 8 |
1.7 | Dribbles per game | 1.5 |
3 | Shots per game | 1.8 |
27 | Passes per game | 36 |
1.1 | Tackles per game | 1.3 |
0.3 | Interceptions per game | 0.7 |
Eze dribbles more and shoots more, making him the more adventurous attacking player, while Gibbs-White makes more tackles, interceptions and passes, showing that his workrate is higher and he’s more involved in different areas of the game.
These are two very talented players to say the least, and Arsenal would certainly be a stronger side if they brought either of these two talents in.
