Arsenal missed the perfect opportunity to sign £10m striker who was offered to Mikel Arteta in January
Once they return from their warm-weather training camp in Dubai, Arsenal will attempt to win the Premier League and Champions League with just one striker, Kai Havertz.
Gabriel Jesus’ season has unfortunately been cut short owing to a serious knee injury, one that came just when the Arsenal striker was just finding form.
Of course, Mikel Arteta spoke quite opꩵenly about his desire𝓡 to buy a striker in January, something that didn’t happen for one reason or another.
And in his first press confe🧜rence after the window closed, Arteta did seem slightly frosty about the whole situation.
Collectively it seems as if Arsenal are waiting to bid for Benjamin Sesko or Alexandꦺer Isak, two targets who will be very 🌠costly in the summer.
However, that decisioꦿn might have ended the club’s chances of silverware 🃏this season.
Moise Kean has 19 goals in Italy and Arsenal didn’t want him
That being said, Arsenal were offered Moise Kean in January, a former Everton striker who now has aℱ superb scoring record with ไFiorentina in Serie A.
In truth, a lot of Arsenal fans probably scoffed at news of Kean being offered the club given his difficult season in the Premier ꦕLeague with Everton.

Th♍e Italian arrived in England at the age of 19, sign𝓰ing a five-year deal at Goodison Park.
But it seemed as if Kean arrived in the Premier League too early, 🍎he wasnꦦ’t ready to shoulder a big price tag.
Eventually, Evಌerton sold Kean back to Juventus in 2023, and a 🐷year later he then joined Fiorentina permanently for around .
Now 24-years-old, Kean has scored 19 goals 𒁏in 29 appearances this seaso🔜n, and put bluntly, Arsenal might have made a mistake in January.
Moise Kean could have thrived under Mikel Arteta
So far this season, Kean ha🥂s the highest non-penalty xG in the Serie A, a testament to how he’s able to operate in the box.
Perhaps the Italian isn’t the superstar name Arsenal fans were hoping for, but he now looks much better equipped to thrive back ꧟in the Premier League.
Fiorentina’s manager, Raffaele Palladino, has worked out how to best utilise Kean’s physicality and intelligence﷽ in the p♑enalty area, something Mikel Arteta could also do.
And whether Kean started ahe𓄧ad of Havertz or came on as a st🅰ylistic alternative, it could have been a clever buy for the Gunners.
In addition, Kean might not have commanded a huge fee in January, even iওf 💞Fiorentina would have wanted to make a profit.
And the Italian wouldn’t have blocked so🌞meone like Sesko or Is🍰ak arriving in addition, when you consider that Havertz could still be used as number eight long-term.
A missed opportunity, and Arsenal ওmight now have 🧜to watch Kean return to England with another club.
