Arsenal might struggle to sign £60m player because of Raheem Sterling

Arsenal are desperate to find a new striker in this January transfer window.

ꦏThe north London club need a new centre-forward, and they need one now.

Gabriel Jesus is injured, Kai Havertz has been criticised💛 for his performances as of late, and the team is lacking firepower.

🅠Arsenal lost yet more ground In the title race over the weekend with their draw against Aston Villa, and they need reinforcements to kickstart their title charge once again.

Speaking on Curtis Shaw TV, Ben Jacobs has been discussing Arsenal’s♔ search for a striker and their interest in Evan Ferguson.

Arsenal are keen on Ferguson, but according to Jacobs, this deal will be very complicated to complete due to the fact Arsenal can’t terminate Raheem Sterling’s loan deal.

Raheem Sterling makes Evan Ferguson to Arsenal difficult

✱According to Jacobs, Ferguson to Arsenal is more complicated due to the presence of Raheem Sterling at Arsenal.

𝄹Arsenal have filled their quota of Premier League loans after signing Neto and Sterling in the summer, and according to the journalist, there’s nothing in Sterling’s deal that would allow this loan to be cut short.

꧂Therefore, signing Ferguson on loan this month is very difficult, and the man may be headed elsewhere.

West Ham have been linked with Ferguson too.

💝“A player like Evan Ferguson. I reported this and it’s widely circulated now, he’s also on Arsenal’s radar as well,” Jacobs said.

ꦚ“The challenges are that Brighton haven’t decided if they’re ready to sanction an exit, number two, the player has picked up an injury and number three, clubs like West Ham are thinking they could do a loan, but Arsenal can’t do that because they have filled their Premier League quota.

๊“I can tell you that with Raheem Sterling there is no ability to recall, there is nothing in January that allows for a break, and he’s definitely going to be staying, so it’s very difficuly for Arsenal to do something economical, they can’t do a loan with obligation, their quota is full and they can’t buy outright unless the price drops significantly.”

Raheem Sterling compared to Evan Ferguson

🤡While it is frustrating that Sterling is blocking a potential new striker addition at Arsenal, the reality is that Arsenal are way better off having Sterling in their squad than Ferguson.

𒈔Yes, Sterling has been criticised this season for his poor performances at times, but he’s still a Premier League winner who is proven at this level.

༺Meanwhile, Ferguson is a young striker with plenty to prove and he’s only scored one goal in the last 12 months.

꧙Sterling has a much better pedigree than Ferguson, and while he isn’t delivering at the moment, he’s a player who has been there and done it before in a title race.

ღThere are plenty more fish in the sea for Arsenal.

Arsenal have been linked with Igor Jesus𓆏 recently, while Jonathan David is an option for Arsenal too, so missing out on Ferguson certainly isn’t the end of the world for the Gunners.
