Arsenal might be worried about what the Spanish media are saying about Antonio Rudiger’s display in Real Madrid’s 1-0 vs Alaves

The Spanish media have been reacting to Antonio Rudiger’s latest display in a Real Madrid shirt ahead of Wednesday’s massive Champions League tie against Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta’s side will travel to the Santiago Bernabeu looking to defend their 3-0 lead from the first-leg after ripping apart Madrid in North London.

Declan Rice’s two stunning free kicks and Mikel Merino’s strike proved to be the difference between the two teams as Arsenal kept Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr quiet.

Madrid must now produce an unprecedented performance at the Bernabeu and will need all of their top performers at their best, which is why Rudiger’s performance against Alaves might worry the Gunners.

The Spanish media rave about Antonio Rudiger’s display vs Alaves

The Spanish media have hailed the performance of Antonio Rudiger in Real Madrid’s 1-0 win over Alaves.

The German defender’s display comes at just a crucial moment for Los Blancos as they will need him to be hitting his best form against the Gunners.

The 32-year-old was one of several Madrid players who looked off the pace against Arsenal in the first-leg at the Emirates, but back in La Liga action, he was much better.

claimed: “He was decisive in the opposition half. With a spectacular pass that Güler couldn’t quite get his hands on, and with a charge on Owono that cancelled out Asencio’s goal. And he was solid on his own. No ifs, ands, and that’s the best message a defender can send. In form.”

Meanwhile, wrote: “The German was the leader of the defense and cleared every ball that passed him.”

Davide Ancelotti gives verdict on whether Real Madrid can come back vs Arsenal

Davide Ancelotti, who was in charge of Madrid against Alaves, is adamant that Real Madrid can come back against Arsenal on Thursday.

Speaking after their 1-0 win, Ancelotti told the media: “Both are difficult. We’re going to try. We have the confidence to do it in the Champions League and La Liga.

“It’s not enough to have the quality we have; some things have to go well, and we have to earn it. Everyone is convinced we’re going to try.”
