Report: Arsenal could sign ‘special’ player late in the window; they’ve already agreed personal terms as well

Arsenal might yet end up signing Youri Tielemans this summer after all, with claiming Leicester could choose to take the money as the window drags on.

Writing in his weekly column for the outlet, Miguel Delaney claims that there could still be some games being played when it comes to certain players this window. Of course, Tielemans is one of the names who keeps cropping up.

Arsenal are thought to have agreed personal terms with the Belgian, while Tottenham have also expressed an interest in signing the Leicester City ace. And this week’s Reading the Game hints that the Foxes might well end up selling Tielemans late in the day.

“As we get later in the window, brinkmanship will come into play on those – like Youri Tielemans – who only have a year left on their deal. Take the money on offer, or see out the season with those stars in place and risk losing them for free?,” Delaney wrote in the .

Hailed as ‘‘ player for what he’s done at Leicester, there is a belief that Tielemans does want to move to Arsenal.

However, it remains to be seen if the Gunners will make their move and shell out another £40m fee in what has already been an expensive window.

TBR’s View: Plenty Of Legs In Tielemans Transfer Talk

It would be a big surprise if Tielemans remained in Leicester this summer. There has been so much talk of him moving on that an exit seems almost inevitable.

For the Foxes, as Delaney says, they face the big call of making some money or losing the Belgian for free next year. That would be a bit of a disaster, really.

Tielemans would improve Arsenal a lot and should he join, he’s yet another fine addition to what is a squad growing in strength with each passing window.
