Arsenal: Manchester United keen on midfielder; Belgian forward linked; Vardy’s final decision

After weeks of tense waiting, contract negotiations and speculation, another striker has bitten the dust for
Arsenal.  Leicester City announced on Thursday that
deal with the Premier League champions.

This ends a month long saga with Arsenal and the England striker after they triggered Vardy’s £20
million release clause. The longer this situation went without Vardy categorically stating his desire to leave, it became increasingly unlikely that Arsenal would lure him from the side where he really has, made
his name.

The reported new deal will see him earn a this time. With a Champions League campaign ahead at the King Power and England still in Euros competition,
it takes Vardy’s mind off any pending move as he concentrates solely on England’s upcoming Round of 16 tie with Iceland on Monday night.

As for Arsenal, it’s another missed opportunity to boost their strike force as for a number of years now,
they haven’t been able to buy that potent goalscorer they need to catapult them to league success.  It was Gonzalo
Higuain and Luis Suarez in 2013, Karim Benzema was a long-standing target last summer, now Vardy has got away, who do they turn to next?

A striker that we’ve reported many times to be linked to

Now the Vardy deal is dead, Arsenal may step up their move for a forward who is Premier League proven, has bags of
potential and is the physical, pacey frontman they desire.  Italian sports journalist Emanuele Giulianelli claims that , but that the  Gunners have moved ahead of them in the race.
Lukaku’s desire for Champions League football has been a main case for why he would leave Merseyside this summer, but new owner Farhad Moshiri won’t let that happen easily.

Everton are prepared to offer, the club’s leading goal scorer for the past three campaigns, contract with Moshiri determined not to allow star players to depart Goodison Park. 25 goals in 46 games in all competitions last season is a good return, but at a better team with higher calibre support for Lukaku, he can get more.He wasn’t at his best for the whole of last season, but the service to him was largely poor as Roberto Martinez paid with his job after an underwhelming season for Everton.

It’s a simple equation, Arsenal’s creators need a striker more clinical than Olivier Giroud and Lukaku needs higher standard of support from midfield.Comparing the sides two integral maestros, it’s comprehensively superior towards the Gunners.Mesut Ozil claimed the most assists (19) and created chances (144) in the Premier League last year, whilst in three more games, Ross Barkley only measures 8 assists and 55 chances made.Alexis Sanchez had less assists than Gerard Deulofeu in four more games but nearly double the chances created, 62 to 34.

Yet, with Lukaku starting in North London, Alexis’ figures will increase, as will the Belgian’s goal tally, it’s a
perfect signing for Arsenal. It’s reported that £31 million is the fee for his services and he’s more than worth
that value with his potential, power and record in England. note finished with the champions as N’Golo Kante looks to be on their radar still.

The tenacious defensive midfielder has been flourishing as the lynchpin in the France side at the Euros and attracting more attention.  Following three departures from their midfield this summer, Arsene Wenger could still be wanting to bolster his options and Kante is a player that would certainly improve their title aspirations.

His release clause will mean buyers are waiting to pounce on Leicester’s enforcer, Arsenal are one and a move is possible as his situation looks to become one of the long-running stories of the summer.

As for exits from the Gunners squad, .

He rejected United in favour of Arsenal in 2008 but now it’s claimed Jose Mourinho will target the Welshman if a move for Henrikh Mkhitaryan falls through. “United’s answer to Frank Lampard”, as The Sun report, Ramsey has built his reputation on being a box to box midfielder with an eye for goal.

He hasn’t been able to string the performances and consistency of his 2013/14 campaign in the past couple of years, so would a fresh start be beneficial with competition at Arsenal fierce? Despite the array of talent to battle with in London, it seems unlikely he would leave The Emirates after being handed the famous number eight for the new season and Arsene Wenger showing him unbounded faith over the years.

Next summer could see his exit if this season doesn’t springboard Ramsey into the key role he desires in North London. But as for this transfer window, it’ll take a huge offer and extreme persuasion to tempt Ramsey to United and particularly, for Wenger to sell to Mourinho.
