We at TBR are told that the main reason for their presence was to assess the progress of Ederson and Ademola Lookman, who they all looked at closely in the summer.
Both Ederson and Lookman were str⭕ongly linked with moves during the previous window, but Atalanta ✱held off suitors.
However, interest remains strong.
Atalanta’s opposition Arsenal also liked both players.
How good have Ademola Lookman and Ederson been?
Ademola Lookman, who is valued at £51 million, has really made a name for himself at Atalanta over the past season 🙈or so.
He scored 17 goals an𝄹d provided 10 assists last 🐲season, which included a hat-trick in the final of the Europa League.
Interestingly, Lookman was even nominated for the Ballon d’Or this season.
Ederson, who is valued at £50 million, is the anchorman in Atalanta’s midfield, breaking up play and starting attacks. He scored seven goals from the middle of midfield la🧜st season.
He’s only 25 years of age too, so his best ye🐼ars are still ahe𝔉ad of him.
Interestingly, Manchester Un🌜ited have shown an interest in signing Ederson, so they could yet join the race.
