Arsenal keen on £27 million-rated starlet, but is German’s transfer bypassing them?
Arsenal have been heavily linked with a summer swoop for Saint-Etienne starlet William Saliba over the past week or so.
The Gunners are said to been very keen on the 18-year-old, who has been valued at around €30 million (£27 million).

that talks between player and club were at an advanced stage, and there is optimism amongst fans that a deal will be concluded.
It would be a risky move by Arsenal, with Saliba having only just completed his first season since turning professional.
The 6ft 4in colossus has exciting potential, but his inexperience makes him a big gamble.
The links come at a time when Bayern Munich defender Mats Hummels is set to complete a return to Borussia Dortmund – for the same £27 million price ().
TBR’s view
Arsenal are in dire need of surgery to their backline.
They need someone to come in and be a leader.
Hummels is a seasoned centre-half who has enjoyed a brilliant trophy-laden career over in Germany.
The 70-cap international is no longer the imperious defender of a couple of years ago, but he remains a high quality footballer.

The fact that he could transfer for the same price as Saliba this summer suggests Arsenal are sleeping.
Unai Emery has very little money to play with and needs to be shrewd. Hummels is now 30, but his experience and winning mentality would be invaluable for the north London giants.
At this moment in time the fragile Gunners arguably need quality, established players over rookies with the same price tag.
