Arsenal interested in signing £80m West Ham player with January sale a possibility
- EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey
Arsenal could be tempted to enact a similar deal to the one which prised Declan Rice away from West Ham United once the transfer window opens next month.
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side won in dominant fashion against West Ham at London Stadium recently – a 5-2 victory which only compounded Julen Lopetegui’s woes.
Lopetegui is under serious pressure at West Ham, and may now face the prospect of losing one of his brightest talents in the January transfer window.
TBR Football understands that West Ham have not ruled out the departure of Mohammed Kudus in January, which could help finance other deals.
Arsenal considering January move for Mohammed Kudus
Kudus is of real interest to a host of top clubs around Europe right now, including title-chasing Arsenal.
Arsenal have a long-standing interest in the Ghana international who has often shown his ability and potential for West Ham in the Premier League.

On their part, Arsenal are considering bolstering their attacking options in the New Year, both out-wide and centrally.
TBR are informed that if Kudus was available in January, Arsenal would have an interest.
West Ham name their asking price for Mohammed Kudus
West Ham were already in the market for a new forward before Michail Antonio’s horrific car accident, which the club believe will see him sidelined for a ‘significant’ period of time.
Now with Antonio out, West Ham need further attacking help but their budget is limited due to PSR issues, and that could see them consider Kudus’ exit.
In theory, the sale of Kudus could allow Tim Steidten to bolster West Ham’s squad in other areas.
As a result, Arsenal are keeping close tabs on the situation, but others in England like Newcastle United are also huge fans of the former Ajax star, although his price tag could prove problematic to most.
Kudus has a release clause of over £80m, and although West Ham would consider a deal, any offer would need to be close to that figure.
