Arsenal have now been informed of Borussia Dortmund competition for ‘quality’ Fenerbahce player

Arsenal are now going to face some serious competition if they are going to land one of their summer targets with Borussia Dortmund joining the race.

Mikel Arteta‘s side are yet to get up and running in the summer window when. itcomes to players arriving at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners were able to close the gap on Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, but narrowly missed out on the Premier League title by just two points.

Summer additions at Arsenal are being seeked to bolster their side ahead of another busy Premier League campaign.

But the north London side are now going to have to step up their efforts if they are to sign Ferdi Kadioglu from Fenerbahce this summer.

TBR Football understands that Arsenal have been informed that Borussia Dortmund are showing a strong interest in Ferdi Kadioglu.

Arsenal facing stern competition for Ferdi Kadioglu

The Gunners have been watching Kadioglu intently for a number of months and he is on their radar as an option for them to come in a bolster their options on the left.

Kadioglu played a whopping 51 times for the Turkish side last season across all competitions and now faces the prospect of playing under Jose Mourinho.

Whilst, Arsenal have yet to make a firm offer they have been keeping a close eye on the Fenerbahce’s star situation and TBR Football can reveal that they have been alerted to the fact that Dortmund are now in the mix.

Dortmund have spoken to Fenerbahce about a move with new coach Nuri Sahin highlighting him as their best option – after missing out on Ian Maatsen, who is heading to Aston Villa.

Arsenal may not have made their first move in the summer window just yet, but they’ve certainly been issued a warning of missing out on Kadioglu.

Kadioglu hailed as ‘quality’ player

Having played so frequently for Fenerbahce, the 24-year-old would bring not only his reliability to Arsenal but also his versatility.

The full-back played the majority of the 2023/24 campaign on the left, however, he was also able to cover at right-back when needed.

Former Fenerbahce player Mehmet Yozgatli hailed the defender as “quality” when speaking with the Turkish last season.

A player with a lot going for him this summer, but a big decision awaits him on his future following Mourinho’s appointment.
