Arsenal have now asked about signing £68m attacker who is ‘very keen’ to join Tottenham
After a slow start to the transfer window, Arsenal are starting to catch up with rivals Liverpool and Man City.
The Gunners are close to signing Kepa Arrizabalaga as backup for David Raya while Spanish midfielder Martin Zubimendi is on the verge of signing for Arsenal as well.
Mikel Arteta wants to sign a striker, which remains a priority for the club. Another position they are keen on bolstering is the left side of the attack.
Arsenal missed out on Nico Williams, but there are other options available for the Gunners to target, including Real Madrid star Rodrygo.
And now, TBR Football can reveal that Arsenal have initiated contact for one of Tottenham’s top targets.

Arsenal enquire Tottenham target Eberechi Eze
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has revealed that the Gunners have made an enquiry for Crystal Palace and England star Eberechi Eze.
The player is expected to leave Palace this summer, with several other clubs also showing interest, including Liverpool, Chelsea, Newcastle, Man United and Aston Villa.
However, as per Bailey, Tottenham remains the club currently leading the race to sign him.
While Eze has kept his options open, the transfer expert reveals that he would welcome a move to Spurs. Speaking to TBR Football, Bailey said: “Eberechi Eze is expecting to leave Crystal Palace this summer, that is no secret.
“He has a release clause and Steve Parish is open to taking instalments to a certain degree but any agreement will need to be reached with Palace.
“Eze himself has made it clear he is open to options, and a host of Premier League clubs have had made contact.
“As we have reported, the most advanced are Tottenha,m and we are told the player would welcome a move.
“But Arsenal have indeed made enquiries as they see him as a potential option on their left – but same with Liverpool, Chelsea, Man United, Newcastle and Aston Villa – they have all made enquiries to some extent this year.”
Tottenham’s longstanding interest in Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze
Tottenham have long been after Eze, initially expressing interest in him when he was at QPR.
In 2024, Spurs even gave Eze’s entourage an exclusive box at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium during the match between Tottenham and Crystal Palace.
TBR Football has previously reported that Tottenham are confident about signing Eze after being informed about his £68m release clause and the easy financial plan available to sign him.
It has also been reported by TBR Football that Eze is ‘very keen’ to join Tottenham.
Despite Arsenal’s enquiry, there is no reason why Spurs should not be able to secure his signing over the competition if they make a concrete pursuit.
