Talented 18-year-old who left Arsenal is now being compared to Eden Hazard, Arteta will be gutted – TBR View
Arsenal have really stepped their game up in terms of turning young prospects into first-team stars in recent years.
Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe have come through the Hale End ranks to become established Gunners first-teamers.
Meanwhile, Gabriel Martinelli and William Saliba were highly-rated prospects when they joined Arsenal. Now, they are stars with a bright future ahead of them.
However, there will always be some who’ll slip through the net, and last summer, one prodigy chose to leave the Gunners.
Omari Hutchinson was one of the Arsenal academy’s top talents, but rejected a new contract to sign for Chelsea.

As per , there were several reasons for the 18-year-old’s move from the Gunners to the Blues.
These included competition from the likes of Saka, Smith Rowe, Fabio Vieira and Marquinhos in the Arsenal first-team.
Also, Hutchinson’s family roots are in Surrey, where Chelsea’s training ground in Cobham is located.
The Athletic also wrote that Chelsea ‘are actually one of the clubs Hutchinson wanted to be part of in the first place, before he joined Arsenal’s academy as an 11-year-old.’
It’s not as though the Gunners just let him go; they tried hard to keep him. But Mikel Arteta will nonetheless be gutted to lose him.
Hutchinson has been in sensational form for Chelsea’s Under-21s, ‘almost singlehandedly’ putting his side into the EFL Trophy knockout stages on Tuesday night.

On his induction day, the teenager was reportedly told that his style of play was the closest to that of Eden Hazard.
That shows just how highly Hutchinson is rated – but Chelsea’s gain in signing such a top talent is Arsenal’s loss.
