Arsenal have just made a bid to sign ‘powerful’ player but Andrea Berta’s offer gets rejected

Arsenal are pushing to complete multiple signings in this window.

No announcement has been made yet, but Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga, and Christian Norgaard are all joining Arsenal this summer.

Andrea Berta deserves a lot of praise for getting those three deals done, but the Italian is not finished just yet — he is working on more signings.

An offer was made to sign a talented player this week, but it was turned down.

Arsenal’s first bid to sign Cristhian Mosquera gets rejected

Arsenal are keen to sign a new defender this summer.

The Gunners’ priority is at the other end of the pitch, but they are looking for reinforcements to strengthen their backline too.

TBR Football confirmed on Thursday that Arsenal are pushing to sign Cristhian Mosquera from Sevilla, and there is an update on that now.

in Spain have revealed that the Gunners tabled an offer worth €19 million (£16.2m) to sign the centre-half, but that offer has been turned down.

Sevilla reportedly said ‘no thank you’, and they plan on offering a new contract to keep the talented defender at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.

Sources at Arsenal have confirmed to TBR that talks are continuing to sign the 21-year-old.

We understand that personal terms with Mosquera’s camp have been agreed — the player would be happy to join the Gunners this summer.

Does Arsenal target Cristhian Mosquera have a release clause?

Mosquera’s contract situation makes him a very attractive player for many clubs.

TBR revealed all the way back in November that Arsenal sent scouts to watch Mosquera, who has been of interest to Liverpool and Manchester City too.

The ‘‘ defender is about to enter the final year of his contract, and his current deal includes a release clause that makes him available for just €20 million, which is around £17 million ().

Arsenal are trying to strike a deal for a bit below that figure and are keen to avoid paying the whole sum in one go, TBR understands.
