Arsenal handed ‘huge blow’ to their summer plans after what’s happened at Euro 2024
Mikel Arteta will be watching Euro 2024 with his hands over his eyes after seeing his Arsenal side issued with a significant blow ahead of their summer plans.
A number of Arsenal‘s players are currently over in Germany representing a number of nations at this summer’s European Championship.
It is fair to say it is going better for some than it is for others with the likes of Kai Havertz and William Saliba off to solid starts with Germany and France, respectively.
However, for the likes of Oleksandr Zinchenko it has not exactly having the best of tournaments having struggled in Ukraine’s opening game against Romania before putting things right against Slovenia.
But there is a more serious matter for Arteta to have emerged during the tournament than just how well his players are getting on.

Mikel Arteta handed major blow at Euro 2024
Plans will be in place at the Emirates Stadium this summer to bolster their squad for the upcoming campaign.
Arsenal finished second narrowly missing out on the Premier League crown, so slight tweaks to the squad could go a long way for next term.
It has not been the best of tournaments for Arteta’s left-backs with Kieran Tierney having now been ruled out of the tournament.
The Scotland international suffered an issue in the latter stages of their recent draw against Switzerland and was stretchered off the pitch.
Having now underwent scans, the 27-year-old will now be headed home to receive further treatment with his tournament officially over which has been described as a ‘huge blow’ by .
Scotland’s assistant manager John Carver provided an update on the Arsenal defender on Friday afternoon.
“He’s got an issue with his hamstring and is heading home to be assessed by Arsenal. They’ll give you updates as they have it, but he’s obviously extremely disappointed,” he said.
Kieran Tierney injury may hinder Arsenal’s hopes of a sale
Tierney spent the 2023/24 campaign out on loan in Spain with Real Sociedad where he was able to rack up 20 appearances in La Liga.
Injuries have been a real issue for the Arsenal man which have certainly played a role in his struggles in north London.
Arsenal are now expected to try and move Tierney on over the coming months, but what this injury may mean for their plans will have to be seen.
This could well deter any potential interested clubs as it adds to a long list of injury setbacks, however, it could also see Arsenal needing to reduce his price even further to push forward a sale.
Hardly an ideal start to the summer for the Gunners.
