Arsenal gem Mark McGuinness struggles despite Ipswich win, gets 4/10 for ‘awkward’ display
Mark McGuinness has enjoyed a solid start to life at Ipswich Town but the Arsenal loanee struggled during Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Shrewsbury Town.
The Tractor Boys were forced to wait until the seventh minute of stoppage time to secure all three points, with Paul Lambert’s man trailing at one stage.
McGuinness signed for the East Anglia-based club at the start of the 2020/21 campaign and will see the season out on loan in League One.
The 19-year-old defender caught the eye playing for Arsenal under-21s against Ipswich in an EFL Trophy contest.
He has made five appearances for the club since arriving and has been playing well.

The teenager is still learning his trade of course and both Ipswich and Arsenal will hope to see an improvement.
How young players return from setbacks often goes a long way towards defining them as players.
The challenge for McGuinness is to prove to people that Saturday was just a blip and get back on the right path as quickly as possible.
