Report: Arsenal at the very front of queue to sign ‘sensational’ Premier League winner, he wants to move to London

Arsenal are waiting in the wings to sign Dutch midfielder, Gini Wijnaldum, if the PSG star decides to up and leave Paris before the end of January.

Wijnaldum has endured a tough time of things since leaving Liverpool in the summer. The Premier League winning midfielder has become frustrated with life in France. With that, it’s claimed a number of English clubs have explored the possibility of bringing Wijnaldum back to the Premier League.

reports how Newcastle have explored the possibility of landing Wijnaldum. However, they’ve been given short shrift, amid claims Wijnaldum fancies a move to London if he is to return. And that means a move to Arsenal is most likely, with claiming the Gunners are at the front of the queue.

Wijnaldum has already been credited with interest from Arsenal this month. Mikel Arteta is desperate for a new midfield player and the Dutchman ticks a lot of boxes.

In terms of English football, Wijnaldum is more than capable. A huge success at Liverpool and as a ‘sensational’ player by Jurgen Klopp, there is no doubt he’s improve Arsenal. The question really is will he leave PSG.

TBR’s View: Wijnaldum Would Be A Huge Steal For Arsenal

It seems Edu is determined to get some business done this month. Arthur Melo of Juventus has been linked, while talks continue over Dusan Vlahovic. If Arsenal land either of those, and then go for Wijnaldum too, then it will have been quite the window.

While the Dutchman is at the older end of the scale compared to recent signings, he has huge quality. Experience, too, could be key in helping this young Arsenal team flourish.

Wijnaldum would bring energy, a goal threat, and a winning mentality to the fold. Certainly, if Arsenal pull this one off, they’ll be the envy of many in the Premier League.
