Arsenal fans talk reports that they must spend £38m to sign Bruno Guimaraes
Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Lyon midfielder Bruno Guimaraes ahead of the January transfer window. The Brazilian star has a price tag of £38million – and Gunners fans have discussed that fee on Twitter.
Bruno, 24, has starred for Lyon since swapping Atletico Paranense for the French side in January 2020. The Brazil international has clocked up 68 appearances for Lyon in two seasons – earning international recognition.
That recognition extends to more than just his country. Indeed, that Roma are interested but that Jose Mourinho’s side and any other interested parties will have to spend as much as £38million to sign him.
Arsenal were strongly linked with Bruno in the summer and state that that interest in the midfielder remains. But can the Gunners convince Lyon into selling him in the middle of the season?

What are Arsenal fans saying about Bruno and his £38m price tag?
Arsenal have plenty of options in midfield. Granit Xhaka, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Thomas Partey, Mo Elneny and Ainsley Maitland-Niles are all currently options in the middle of the park for Mikel Arteta’s side.
But the issue Arsenal have, is that Elneny is out of contract and off to AFCON in January. Partey will be representing Ghana at AFCON, while Maitland-Niles is close to joining Mourinho’s Roma on a loan-to-buy deal.
Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter to reports that they would have to spend £38million to sign Bruno – a player that is clearly needed next month. Many believe it is a deal they simply have to get done.
