‘Yes, this window is wild’: Arsenal fans discuss potential signing of £34m-rated finisher
Arsenal fans have been having their say on Twitter today after reports emerged linking them with a move for Andre Silva.
The Eintracht Frankfurt striker was in lethal form last season. Indeed, he actually scored more than Erling Haaland, further enhancing his reputation.
As covered on TBR earlier today, Duncan Castles has claimed on his that Silva is a target. It’s a move that could set Arsenal back around £34m, with Alexandre Lacazette apparently the one to make way.

Silva has been courted by a number of clubs in England already. Manchester City are said to be keen, while Tottenham have also expressed an interest in the past.
As we all know, Lacazette is a player who divides Arsenal fans. Despite doing well at times last season, some Gunners still feel the Frenchman hasn’t quite lived up to the hype overall.
And it looks like Silva, despite being a class-act in his own right, is a name who is also splitting the fanbase.
Arsenal fans split over Andre Silva rumours
Despite the goals from Silva and the obvious talent he has in the locker, the fact he’d be coming in for Lacazette seems to concern some Gunners.
Twitter was full of comments discussing the potential deal. And while some feel Silva is a fine player in his own right, others feel Lacazette does the job just fine at the moment.
Here, then, is a what some Arsenal supporters had to say as the club were linked with a move for Andre Silva today.

Seems we are replacing players with players that are worse than the players we are replacing

Lacazette > Andre Silva. Anyday.

The best striker we could go for, him or Isak both really good.

Give Frankfurt Laca! As a supporter of both clubs I would be happy.

Naw. You’re wrong on this one. Silva was incredible last year. He’d be a top signing. But it’s castles so doesn’t really matter.

Exciting! Needed! Proven! As much as I love Laca(who is my favorite player) its best for us and for him to move on.
