According tꦯo , Arsenal technical director Edu Gaspar wants to offer a new contract to Gabriel Martinelli in the coming months.

The young Braz൩ilian joined the Gunners as a teenager back in 2019, 💛when Unai Emery was still in charge of the club. He quickly made a name for himself through fantastic performances in the League Cup and Europa League.

Martinelli became a fan favourite at Arsenal and ended his debut campaign with 10 goals and four assists in justꦫ 15 starts. He is a fantastic talent and despite a second-season hampered with injuries, he has recovered brilliantly.

The 20-year-old is now a regular starter for Arsenal and has been directly involved in seven goa✱ls already this season. That is a fantastic return and it’s no surprise that many clubs are keeping an eye on him.

Edu is readying a new Arsenal contract for Martinelli

Arsenal tied dow🐻n Martin♑elli to a new long-term deal in July 2020. He completely deserved that contract and it looks like it’s only a matter of time before he gets another one.

The report claims that Edu has a to-do list ready for the coming months and new contracts to Martinelli and his good pal Buka𓂃yo Saka are very high on that list.

Arsenal are aware of all the interest surrounding their two phenomenal young players. Both of thꦐeir cont💦racts run till the summer of 2024, but the Gunners don’t want to take a chance. They are keen to sort out their deals very soon, which is a good sign.

Arsenal fans should be delighted

If there was an award foﷺr poor management of contra🉐cts, Arsenal would’ve won it consistently over the last few years.

Mesut Ozil, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Willian are three big-earners who forced Arsenal to terminate their deals recently, while the likes of Robin van Persie and Alexis Sanchez, in the last decade, were allowed to join a direct rival after entering the final y♉ear of their contracts.

By planning to extend Saka and Martinelli’s contracts, it looks like Arsenal have learned their lesson. They cannot afford to lose those two youngsters and Arsenal fans should be delighted♓ about the fact that Edu is looking to tie them down to long-term deals very soon.
