Arsenal fans respond to Mesut Ozil’s tweet after weekend defeat
Mesut Ozil has sent a message to Mikel Arteta on social media in the wake of Arsenal’s weekend defeat, insisting that he is always ready – and unsurprisingly, plenty of Gunners fans responded to his tweet.
There is plenty of work for Arteta to do over the international break. Arsenal produced their most disappointing display under the Spaniard on Sunday and were thrashed 3-0 by Aston Villa at the Emirates.

The result, once again, called into question Arteta’s decision to leave Ozil out of their Premier League squad for the first-half of the campaign.
Arsenal failed to ask many questions of Villa going forward. And they really lacked creativity in the middle of the park.

So it is very interesting that Ozil has taken to Twitter shortly after the result to remind Arsenal fans that he is around.
The 31-year-old posted a short video of himself exercising in his garden. And his suggestion that he is always ready certainly appears to be for Arteta’s attention.
It remains to be seen if Ozil plays for Arsenal again before his £350,000-a-week contract (via ) expires.
But what is clear is that many believe that he could still make a real impact in Arsenal’s squad. And some are hoping that he does get another chance after the turn of the year.
Here is Ozil’s tweet, as well as some of the best responses…

I just can’t wait to see you on the pitch again regardless. or somewhere else. Your creativity is second to non. Arsenal still this day shocks me to have behaved like they did towards you. Nevertheless keep working. We all know your quality. Too much love
