Arsenal fans react to reported West Ham loan interest in Rob Holding
Arsenal defender Rob Holding is reportedly attracting interest from Premier League rivals West Ham – and some Gunners fans on Twitter have responded by claiming they want to keep him.
The claims that West Ham want to sign the 24-year-old on a season-long loan and are prepared to pay a £5million fee to try wrap up the deal.
It is understood that Arsenal may possibly allow the centre-back to depart due to competition in his position and West Ham are pushing hard to try bring a defender through the doors at the London Stadium.
Holding has been on the books at the Emirates Stadium since 2016 and had some serious injury problems during that time, but has shown on occasions he’s got the makings of a top defender.
The Englishman recently started in the FA Community Shield victory over Liverpool, as well as starting on Saturday in the 3-0 away victory against newly-promoted Fulham in the Premier League.
He has made a strong case so far to manager Mikel Arteta that he deserves to be a regular in the XI, but the team are currently missing a number of players right now through injury that will come back into the fold and possibly move him down the pecking order.

A selection of Arsenal supporters on social media have made it clear they don’t want Holding to leave the club, which is not a surprise considering he’s made a strong individual start to the new season.
