Arsenal fans react to reported interest in Brazilian defender Yan Couto
Arsenal are reportedly interested in defender Yan Couto from Brazilian side Coritiba – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter are delighted by the speculation.
, Coritiba are open to selling their Brazilian right-back for around £4.25million.
It is understood that a move is expected to be wrapped up in the next few days, but he won’t be able to move to Europe until he turns 18 in June.
The report details Arsenal and Bayer Leverkusen as two of the clubs in talks about the 17-year-old rising star.

A selection of Arsenal supporters on social media are excited about interest in Couto and believe he could be a good signing at the Emirates Stadium.
The teenage full-back won the Under-17s World Cup with Brazil in 2019 and is a developing talent attracting interest from Europe as a result.
Mikel Arteta already has Hector Bellerin and Ainsley Maitland-Niles as right-back options in his Gunner squad, but it looks like long-term there could be even more competition.
Gabriel Martinelli, 18, is enjoying a brilliant debut season in North London following his move from Brazil in the summer and is proof that these types of deals can work.
Here are some Arsenal fans on the Couto speculation:
I’LL BE OVER THE MOON IF ARSENAL SIGN YAN COUTO FROM BRAZILIAN SIDE, CORTIBA. The RB position would be solid for years to come despite the immediate need for a true RB as Maitland Niles makes the position his own. God I hope this rumor has legs ?
