Arsenal fans react to David Luiz performance against Manchester United
Arsenal recorded a 0-0 draw at home to Manchester United on Saturday evening – and some of the club’s supporters gave huge credit to their defender David Luiz for his individual performance.
The Gunners had to settle a point in their fixture against rivals Man United at the Emirates Stadium.
Mikel Arteta’s side are now seven games unbeaten in the league, picking up 17 points during that run to help climb up the table.
The North London club are currently eighth in the league standings and are just outside the European positions, something that seemed a long way off a coulee of months ago.
But a point against second-placed Man United shows the progress made in what was a fixture that just lacked the final touch from both sets of attackers.

A selection of Arsenal supporters on social media believe that Luiz impressed in the weekend fixture.
The 33-year-old centre-back showed his composure in defence with an assured display, which included a brave header from a free-kick and a decent range of passing.
There were some Gunners fans online that admitted he proved them wrong with a confident display to help nullify what has been a potent Man United forward line at times this season.
Here are some Arsenal fans discussing Luiz:
I was so nervous coming into this game with luiz at the back. Glad he proved me wrong👏🏾

Brave work from Luiz to head that away. Many players in the wall shy away from the ball

Luiz gets MOTM and well deserved I feel. He’s been excellent at the back.
I’d take a point tonight in terms of points and ongoing progress in the league, but disappointed we didn’t make the most of some of our chances

David Luiz masterclass tonight, you love to see it

Luiz proved me wrong and proved himself today. I admire that.

Take that all day long with the team we had out. Thought we defended very well and might even had won it with a bit of luck. Luiz man of the match for me, proved me wrong. Get our best players back and we go again. .
