Arsenal fans react to being linked with Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure
Arsenal have been linked with Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have responded by claiming he would be a good fit at the Emirates Stadium.
, the Gunners are admirers of the 27-year-old powerhouse and he’s another midfield target alongside Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey.
It is understood that Watford are preparing themselves for a battle to keep their top stars following their relegation from the Premier League to the Championship.
The report explains that Everton are eyeing the Frenchman and are prepared to reignite interest in him.
Doucoure has been a mainstay in the Watford team in recent years and was valued at £50million () back in January 2019 when Paris Saint-German were interested in him.
He is a box-to-box central midfielder that offers a goalscoring threat with his late runs into the final third and he’s capable of driving his team up the pitch, as well as possessing a great work-rate defensively in front of the back four.
Despite not keeping his team in the top-flight, he played 39 games across all competitions last season for Watford and is Premier League quality.
Arsenal have lacked a physical presence through the spine of their team in recent years and the Watford man would help address that.

A selection of Gunners supporters on social media are over the moon with the latest transfer speculation and feel they could make a crucial midfield signing.
Here are some Arsenal fans discussing Doucoure:
