A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Rob Holding’s display during the Gunners’ clash with Manchester City on Sunday.
Arsenal got off to the worst start as they conceded inside two minutes. And in truth, Holding should have done better to try and prevent Raheem Sterling from breaking the deadlock.

However, many supporters clearly felt that Holding more than redeemed himself over the course of the afternoon.
City put the Gunners under plenty of pressure. However, Bernd Leno was actually not given a lot to do during the contest. And that was partially down to the performance of the centre-backs.

Holding really grew into the game. , he won more tackles than any other player on the pitch. Meanwhile, no player won more aerial duels than the 25-year-old. He also made two clearances and two interceptions.
Unfortunately for Arsenal supporters, they were unable to find an equaliser. But plenty of fans suggested that Holding was a real shining light.
Some of the supporters insisted that Holding once again raised his game for the bigger stage. And while he did get off to a poor start, many felt that he responded superbly.
With that in mind, here is how some of the fans reacted to Holding’s performance against the league leaders…
Rob .“I’m sorry he didn’t cost 55 Million pounds” Holding
Such a baller in big games.

Holding has been so good since the 3rd minute.

As someone who has backed Holding all season, City’s goal was his error. However, for the rest of this game he has been absolutely immense.
Somehow we are playing two CDMs yet the defence is constantly exposed.

Holding you’re redeemed

Gonna get slated but since the goal Holding has been really good

Mari looks like a fairy decent player. Holding also much improved in this game…albeit City have no striker

Pablo Mari & Rob Holding, barring the goal, have been really, really good, I must say.
