Arsenal fans react on Twitter to Rob Holding contract reports
A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on that Rob Holding is close to signing a new contract with the Gunners.
Holding has been a regular fixture for Mikel Arteta’s men this season. He has made 13 starts in the Premier League. And he appears to be forming an impressive partnership with Pablo Mari having previously done well alongside Gabriel Magalhaes.

The Telegraph reports that he still has more than two years left on his contract at the Emirates. However, it is suggested that he is set to sign a new deal imminently.
The report adds that the new contract is set to end any speculation surrounding a potential January loan. that Holding is attracting attention from Premier League clubs. But it appears that he is set to stay.

The report has attracted a positive response on social media. Admittedly, there are some who remain unconvinced about the 25-year-old.
However, many believe that it is a smart piece of business. He has been a solid and consistent performer since returning from long-term injury.

And there is a sense of confidence that he will be able to develop into a very good player. And thus, many would be very happy if an announcement is made concerning a new contract.

I’m actually happy that holding is renewing his contract..
I really don’t get the hate he gets he’s been one of our best defenders and always put 100% and play for the badge— Mohamed Ahmed (@MohamedASaadia)
As he should be. He’s been an important part of the defense since his rookie season, when he started in, among other matches, the 2017 FA Cup Final. and leaves it all out on the pitch for whenever he gets capped

Sorry he didn’t cost £55 million, but this lad is definitely worth holding on to. Reports of a new contract are great news for

The club giving holding a new contract makes sense, he’s homegrown and has been decent tbf might not be a top class cb but he’s good enough to be a back up

Extending Rob Holding’s contract now is the right decision. He’s a solid, home grown, squad member, who will get a fair wage with two years left on his deal. It will ensure his value is high if we sell, but means his wages won’t be so high that we can’t shift him.
