Arsenal fans react on Twitter as Daniel Ballard joins Blackpool on loan

Arsenal loaned highly-rated youngster Daniel Ballard to League One outfit Blackpool yesterday and Gunners supporters have been reacting on Twitter.

The central defender joined Neil Critchley’s team on loan until the end of the 2020/21 campaign and becomes the latest in a long line of youngsters to leave Arsenal on loan.

Ballard is a Northern Ireland under-21 international and has scored one goal during four appearances for the national ranks.

His stock is relatively high with Arsenal and this will be his second taste of men’s football after playing three times for Swindon Town on loan last season.

Arsenal supporters seem quite glad that he’s been allowed out on a temporary basis and at 21, it’s perhaps a case of now or never for Ballard to impress.

Last season was a frustrating one for the youngster as he suffered a serious knee injury which kept him out for quite some time.

Now fit and ready to go, he will be desperate to embrace his loan at Blackpool and start showing Arsenal exactly what he is capable of.
