Arsenal fans react as Samuel Umtiti watches Gunners vs Manchester United

Some Arsenal fans have reacted to Samuel Umtiti’s Instagram Story, in which he showed himself being present at the Emirates Stadium ().

The Barcelona defender was in a box to watch Arsenal face old enemy Manchester United in the Premier League.

His attendance comes after the Gunners were linked with a transfer back in the summer ().

Umtiti has played just seven games for Barca so far this season, with manager Ernesto Valverde showing unwavering faith in Gerard Pique and Clement Lenglet.

The Frenchman, who was a part of the World Cup-winning squad in 2018, has been with the Spanish heavyweights since 2016 after transferring from Lyon, where he played with current Arsenal star Alexandre Lacazette.

Many speculated that Umtiti, who is valued at around €60 million/£51 million (), was perhaps present to watch against United as a guest of Lacazette – at the moment, he is out of action injured.

Arsenal certainly showed themselves in a superb light, beating the Red Devils 2-0 for Mikel Arteta’s first win as manager.
