Arsenal fans react as reports claim Marcel Sabitzer valuation

Marcel Sabitzer could be available for £15 million this summer and Arsenal fans have been reacting on Twitter.

The player will hope to help Austria to a good Euro 2020 in the coming weeks but his future is unclear.

Arsenal are keen to sign the RB Leipzig player and are alongside Tottenham in the race.

Given his experience and quality, £15 million does seem cheap and could represent a real steal.

At 27 the central midfielder has plenty of time on his side and should really be approaching his prime.

Sabitzer has captained Leipzig during 2020/21 and is a long-serving player for the Bundesliga club.

His low valuation would make him a steal. He has 50 caps for his country and has also played 227 times for the German side.

Arsenal are set to have a void in their midfield ranks. Granit Xhaka is edging closer to a move to Roma, whilst Dani Ceballos has returned to Real Madrid.

Sabitzer is perhaps a different type of player to Xhaka and he certainly contributes to goals more.

Last season he claimed nine goals and registered seven assists for Leipzig and is a firm fan favourite.

Arsenal fans desperate to see Sabitzer signed

It’s safe to say this piece of information has excited the Gunners fan base.

Plenty think it’s a no-brainer for him to be signed at a relatively small £15 million.

Arsenal won’t be in Europe next season though and signing him could be a challenge.

Sabitzer earns around at Leipzig and as a result, he would fit nicely into the wage structure at Arsenal.

The Austrian would be a smart signing for any ambitious Premier League club and he boasts lots of qualities.

Here is what the Arsenal fan base had to say following the The Athletic claiming that he is available at a bargain price.
