Arsenal fans react as Newcastle reportedly eye Matteo Guendouzi
Matteo Guendouzi has emerged as a reported target for Newcastle as he remains on loan from Arsenal at Marseille – and Arsenal fans have reacted.
Newcastle’s new owners are keen to bring some new players to the club – as they embark on a new era. Eddie Howe is close to joining as manager.
Howe is believed to be signing a three-year deal at Newcastle, after talks to bring in Unai Emery failed. He publicly rejected a move to Tyneside.
Attention will soon turn to players, and reports from France claim an Arsenal-owned midfielder is on their radar – namely, Guendouzi.
Guendouzi, 22, has been loaned out twice by Arsenal – to Hertha Berlin and now Marseille. A permanent clause of £9.5million has been included.
state as much, but that Newcastle are keen on raiding Arsenal and nipping in before Marseille to land the Frenchman. He is in solid form.

What are Arsenal fans saying about Newcastle eyeing Guendouzi?
Newcastle do need options in the middle of the park. Jonjo Shelvey, Isaac Hayden, Sean Longstaff and Joe Willock are the current options.
Before Steve Bruce left, he wanted a central midfielder and a centre-back but never got his wish. The need for a midfielder remains.
Guendouzi would give Newcastle not only another option in midfield, but a much-improved option, too. He is still young, and a bargain at £9.5million.
Arsenal fans have had their say on Twitter in response to the reports – and many think Guendouzi could be a good signing for Newcastle.
